What is Management Mastery?
Management mastery is our flagship programme. it's for experienced managers who want to take things to a different level. It's totally bespoke because each organisation is unique. Although the programme is different each time we run it, experience tells us that there are a number of key themes and topics that crop up again and again. These themes are notoriously tricky to deal with and require a fair degree of resilience and skill to overcome. They usually centre around organisational politics, culture, belief and influence. The programme usually runs over a three to nine month period and involves a number of practical, real life challenges for the participants. It's about getting and embedding the changes that they are after.
Who is it for?
It's for experienced and reasonably senior managers who are prepared to push themselves to make a leap in order to hugely increase their longer term impact. Sometimes this is born from necessity, other times, possibility. it requires a level of commitment, as does anything that's worthwhile pursuing.
What if we don't have time?
Senior managers rarely have time, but we've found from experience that those who do make the time are thankful. That's because the key activities that really make a difference from a leverage point of view, take planning, overview and reflection. The personal changes needed to deliver on these activities usually take nurturing and embedding.
Why will it be effective?
Leaps in growth and lasting change usually come from a process of preparation, readiness and sustained focus. This focus usually involves developing a deep emotional resilience. . We find, that people like to think business is more logic based than it really is. But consider this: It's people who run businesses and people, whether they like it or not, are driven largely by emotions. The programme takes this into account. Our programme helps managers become ready for change, gives them the tools in order to successfully implement change and gives the appropriate follow up that keeps focus.
What will the experience be like for delegates?
It will be deeply relevant to what they do day to day. Participants will be asked to search for the distinctions that make the real difference. It will be challenging at times. It will be thought provoking. It'll often produce laughter, insight and hopefully, empowerment.
What will we cover?
That's mainly for us to design together when we embark upon the programme. It'll more than likely cover things like understanding how the different parts of the business interact together, having difficult conversations, identifying critical leverage points and activities and personal growth and development.
“We’ve worked with them on management and leadership training and the programmes that were created for us were creative, fun and tailored for our unique business. The tools and support provided during those sessions were extremely useful and are making a real difference to our culture and management mind-set.”
